The course takes place in the form of video lessons. All lessons will be available in a personal account for viewing at a convenient time.

The online course “Ayurvedic cuisine” is dedicated to the principles of healthy nutrition in Ayurveda. During the course you will discover the principles of Ayurvedic diet therapy, get to know the Ayurvedic properties of food, learn how to combine them from the Ayurvedic perspective. This knowledge will help you in the future to make an optimal nutrition plan for each person according to their current state, constitution, Dosha balance and the presence of concomitant diseases.

The first module of the course is devoted to the basic principles of healthy nutrition system in Ayurveda. Participants will master the algorithm which it is customary to make up all diet therapy programs in Ayurveda, as well as get acquainted with the recipes of authentic Ayurvedic dishes. Recipes will be provided with video tutorials and detailed instructions on how to cook therapeutic Ayurvedic dishes. Rice with vegetable sauces and additional components, ash-gourd Porridge, healthy detox drinks with vegetables and fruits. These and other authentic recipes of Ayurvedic cuisine you can learn and easily cook at home after studying the new online course “Ayurvedic cuisine”.

The second module is dedicated to clinical dietetics, which is of great practical importance for nutrition and healthy lifestyle consultants. An expert is a medical practitioner of Ayurveda with many years of experience will introduce the participants to the principles of selection of medical nutrition in Ayurveda and will present options of the dietary menu for the most common diseases groups (diet in cardiovascular, gastrointestinal tract, kidneys, liver and reproductive system diseases). Participants will consider in detail the features of diet therapy for patients with these diseases, a set of recipes that promote the improvement of patients through nutrition will be presented, as well as contraindications to the use of certain products with these diseases from the Ayurvedic position.

Dr. Sujithra Rammanohar

  • She took her master's in Bioinformatics from Bharathiyar University, Coimbatore;
  • Senior Research Fellow at Amrita Centre for Advanced Research in Ayurveda, Amrita School of Ayurveda (Kerala, India);
  • She held a position as Head of Literary Research & Academics Department and Gynecology Research Clinic, AVP, Coimbatore, for 14 years, before joining Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham;
  • She graduated with a Gold Medal both in her UG (Ayurveda) and PG (Ayurvedic Pharmacology);
  • Currently pursuing an Integrative PhD specialising in Chemistry and Ayurveda;
  • She is on the Editorial Board of the Ayurvedic Journal - Ancient Science of Life and a Reviewer for SCOPUS Indexed Journals. Author of publications in scientific journals, winner of awards for the published articles;
  • She is the author of three books on Arśas, Prameha and Grahaṇi;
  • She is the author of the first android app on a collection of 30 Nighaṇṭus called ‘Mahānighaṇṭu’;
