Breathing is not only a natural process, but also a powerful innate mechanism for stimulating the body's protection powers and building a reserve of vital forces. A human is able to consciously control the breathing, through which it becomes possible not only to control the emotional status, conquer stress and worries, but also to relieve overall muscle tension.

Proper abdominal breathing involves all the “floors” of the lungs into the breathing act, increases the oxygen saturation in the blood, increases lung capacity, and may become a great complementary tool in a comprehensive program of rehabilitation, or a starting point on one’s way to recovery - for weakened elderly patients, or those suffering from paralysis outcomes and is now being limited in movement and physical activities.

Rhythmic and ordered breathing has an effect of shifting the focus from negative states, thus working towards emotional alignment. Impulses generated by the respiratory center affect the tone of cerebral cortex, and also the functional state of the nervous and muscular systems. In combination with aromatherapy, controlled breathing becomes a handy tool in the arsenal of every wellness specialist, who uses essential oils in his practice. Aromatherapy naturally improves the condition of the entire body and is recommended for complex therapy in various diseases (ARVI, pneumonia, etc.), prevention of viral infections, and general improvement of metabolism and immunity.

On the course, you will learn about aroma-respiratory training (ART) and get recipes, that would include essential oils recommended for specific pathological conditions. ART is a combination of breathing exercises and aromatherapy. ART provides a synergetic effect - an increase in the efficiency of health improvement due to the simultaneous use of natural methods of rehabilitation and prevention - regulated breathing and essential oils.

At the lectures and through your homework, you will be getting acquainted with various techniques of therapeutic breathing and learn how to control your own breath and how to teach your patient to do it in a right manner. The expert will share the years of practical experience of analyzing the interrelations between the character of patient’s breathing and the state of other physiological processes, functions and reflexes, such as smelling, swallowing, speech, singing, coughing, etc. You will be provided with instructions on how to use simple breathing techniques to regulate metabolism, improve motor activity, stimulate the cardiovascular, nervous, and immune systems, improve sexual function, and so on.
